October 12, 2009 (CHARLOTTE, N.C.) – Paul K. Jaszewski, MD, of Southeast Pain Care, was honored as the "Outstanding Physician 2009" by the University Royale planning committee of Carolinas Medical Center - University.

The award honors "excellence in patient care and commitment to service" at CMC-University.

Dr. Jaszewski earned his bachelor’s and medical degrees from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He completed his residency at Northwestern University’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a fellowship in pain management at Northwestern’s Columbus Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

This was the first year the award was given.
